14 Moons and a Star

Trying to find a way to work with 10 or more colors and still stay close to my preferred neutral pallet was challenging.  These lovely old fabric scraps I've saved for over 30 years proved to be the closest I could come.  These used to be a patchwork jacket from India that I wore until it fell apart.  I just couldn't toss it.  Surely I'd find a use for them one day.  I never dreamed they would end up in a quilt!!!  (I never dreamed I would even make a quilt!!!)

Finished size 27 x 18 inches.

This is Meg's quilt although Connie posted it for her.

  4. Oh, surely not 30 years! 'cause I have one of those (center top) that I have been saving for a rainy day, unable to cut. You have set a very fine example, Meg, with a beautiful interpretation of the challenge. Thanks.

    1. The fabric or the jacket, Diane? I really did buy the jacket at least 30 years ago. Maybe even 32 in Charleston, SC.
