Wild Flowers

In all my years as a painter I have rarely pre-mixed a palette, but the ten color challenge seemed like a good opportunity to do so.

For the challenge I began by doing color studies, another thing I never do.  Then it was on to making gelatin prints using the 'intaglio' technique  I found on the Gelliarts blog.  Using Dynaflow fabric paints I filled in the black design with my 9 pre-mixed colors, finishing the work with machine quilting and overcast zigzag edge binding.  Visit my blog for more pictures.

  3. Great prints Susan! The thing I love most about that technique is that each successive print gains more depth.
